Connect Xcode
You choose and allow Xcode’s CodingAssistant folder. SBB reads only inside the folder you selected.
Every time a coding AI Agent finishes, SBB compares your original requirement with the result and judges it. Whether to move on, fix something, or decide yourself, SBB tells you on your Mac.
Requirement met. Fine to move on.
Something to fix, with an instruction.
A person should decide.
01 / JUDGE
SBB evaluates an Agent’s result and returns one of three decisions.
The requirement looks met. Nothing to do; move on to the next task.
A problem the Agent can fix itself. SBB includes a concrete next instruction.
A person needs to decide, and SBB tells you why. If SBB cannot judge, you get this result, never an approval.
A decision is there to help you decide. Whether to accept the work is still up to you.
02 / PRIVATE CLOUD COMPUTE
SBB uses Apple’s Private Cloud Compute (PCC) to make its decision. What the decision needs is processed on PCC.
SBB does not send what it judges to Sanary’s servers. It uses no external service other than PCC, and it includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
With Xcode hooks, this includes the full text of your prompt and the Agent’s last reply.
Using PCC requires macOS 27 or later, a Mac and region that support Apple Intelligence, and SBB being able to use PCC. When it cannot, SBB returns HUMAN_REQUIRED with the reason and sends nothing. It is never treated as approved.
03 / AGENTS
SBB receives the completion of Agents running in Xcode or VS Code. You set up each integration yourself, and only what you allow is covered.
| Environment | Agent | What SBB does |
|---|---|---|
| Xcode | Claude | Judges, and shows its status |
| Xcode | Codex | Judges, and shows its status |
| Xcode | Antigravity | Observes its status (working / idle) only. No Judge |
| VS Code | Claude Code / Codex | Judges, and shows its status (through the Sanary Build Interface extension) |
For Antigravity, SBB only observes whether it is working or idle. It never judges Antigravity’s results.
You choose and allow Xcode’s CodingAssistant folder. SBB reads only inside the folder you selected.
Install the VS Code extension and the connection is made automatically. If SBB is not running, your Agent still works as usual.
04 / NOTIFY
SBB shows each result as a brief on-screen notification and in the menu bar. You can turn notifications on or off in Settings.
Sanary Build Remote (SBR) is a separate app that shows the status of the Mac running SBB on your iPhone.
05 / PRIVACY
SBB runs inside the App Sandbox. It reads Xcode’s CodingAssistant folder only after you choose and allow it, and only inside that folder.
SBB uses no helper app and no relay server. It accepts requests from Agents only on this Mac (127.0.0.1).
What SBB judges is not sent to Sanary’s servers. PCC is the only thing used to make the decision.
Connections from SBR and similar apps (Remote Access) are off by default. When on, only devices you approve on your Mac can connect, on the same local network. This link uses HTTP and is not encrypted with TLS.
