Guides and answers for using SBB.

GETTING STARTED

Getting started

SBB is a macOS app that judges the work of your other AI Agents on Apple Private Cloud Compute (PCC) and tells you CONTINUE, FIX, or HUMAN_REQUIRED.

  1. Start SBB. You can check on it from the menu bar.
  2. In Settings, open Connections and connect the environment you use (Xcode or VS Code).
  3. Work with your Agent as usual.
  4. When the Agent finishes, SBB judges the result and notifies you.

A decision helps you decide.

Whichever of CONTINUE, FIX, or HUMAN_REQUIRED comes back, whether to accept the work is up to you.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does SBB do?

When another AI Agent (such as Claude or Codex in Xcode or VS Code) finishes, SBB compares your original requirement with the result and judges whether it is fine to move on. SBB makes the judgment; the work itself is done by your Agent.

What do CONTINUE, FIX, and HUMAN_REQUIRED mean?
  • CONTINUE (can continue): the requirement looks met. Move on.
  • FIX (needs a fix): a problem the Agent can fix. A concrete next instruction is included.
  • HUMAN_REQUIRED (needs a person): a person needs to decide, and the reason is shown. You also get this when SBB could not judge.
I always get HUMAN_REQUIRED.

When PCC is not available, SBB does not judge; it returns HUMAN_REQUIRED with the reason, and it is never treated as approved. Using PCC requires macOS 27 or later, a Mac and region that support Apple Intelligence, and SBB being able to use PCC. Please check the reason shown. If it does not resolve, contact us below.

What is passed to PCC?

Your original requirement, the Agent’s result or completion report, and, when available, the basis for the judgment, the paths of changed files, and build/test results, plus information about the working session. With Xcode hooks, this includes the full text of your prompt and the Agent’s last reply.

Is anything sent to Sanary’s servers?

No. SBB does not send what it judges to Sanary’s servers. It uses no external service other than PCC, and it includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Which Agents are supported?
EnvironmentAgentWhat SBB does
XcodeClaude / CodexJudges, and shows status
XcodeAntigravityObserves status (working / idle) only
VS CodeClaude Code / CodexJudges, and shows status
Are Antigravity’s results judged too?

No. For Antigravity, SBB only observes whether it is working or idle. It does not judge, and it sets up no hooks.

I generated Codex’s file, but nothing is judged.

Codex does not run a hook until it trusts it. You confirm that trust on the Codex side. SBB does not edit Codex’s config.toml and does not automate trust.

What happens to my Agent when SBB is not running?

Your Agent works as usual. Even if SBB cannot be reached, the Agent’s work is not stopped. The result is simply not judged, and it is never treated as approved.

Which files on my Mac does SBB read?
  • Claude: the session state and its working folder
  • Codex: session boundaries and process information
  • Antigravity: the working folder and file-update information (metadata) only. SBB never opens its database.
  • In every case, only when you have chosen and allowed Xcode’s CodingAssistant folder.
How far does communication reach?

SBB accepts requests from Agents only on this Mac (127.0.0.1). Connections from Sanary Build Remote (SBR) and similar apps (Remote Access) are off by default. When on, only devices you approve on your Mac can connect, on the same local network. You can disconnect an approved device later. This link uses HTTP and is not encrypted with TLS.

How do I stop the integration?

For Xcode, press “解除” (Remove) for each Agent in SBB’s Settings; only the hooks SBB added are removed. Then “無効にする” (Disable) revokes the folder permission. See the Xcode setup guide.

What is Sanary Build Remote (SBR)?

A separate app that shows the status of the Mac running SBB on your iPhone. It is not required to use SBB.

PRIVACY

Privacy

SBB runs inside the App Sandbox and uses no helper app and no relay server. It does not send what it judges to Sanary’s servers.

SBB stores on this Mac its judgment history (which does not include the full text of requirements or results), its settings, the Xcode permission, and the details of devices you have approved.

What a judgment needs is processed on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. See the Sanary Privacy Policy for details.
