Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This Policy states the basic privacy practices that apply to each application provided by Sanary. Applications that handle health information or other data requiring particular care may be subject to additional app-specific policies.
Information We Handle
Depending on the application and features you use, Sanary (the “Services”) handles some or all of the following information:
- Account information: email address and optional nickname;
- User data: records, content, settings, and other data that you enter, create, register, or manage through a Service; the specific data depends on the application;
- Usage information: access time and features used, for crash analysis and improvement;
- Launch information: application launch times and cumulative launch count, for service improvement and continued-use support;
- Device information: operating system and application version, for support;
- Purchase information: transaction information for subscriptions and other purchases through the App Store or Google Play; and
- Linked authentication information: identifiers used to link an Apple ID or Google account when you sign in through those services.
Except for information you choose to send, such as in an inquiry, Sanary does not collect the information above through an application that uses none of accounts, Sanary server storage, or analytics tools and does not transmit data to Sanary.
Purposes of Use
- to provide application features and to store, display, or synchronize user data;
- to support input, organization, conversation, creative work, or development through AI features (see the AI Usage Policy);
- to improve service quality and fix bugs;
- to deliver important notices; and
- to analyze usage and improve features, including through SDKs and analytics tools where used.
Data Storage
Server-based applications: Data covered by a server storage or synchronization feature is stored with appropriate safeguards in an environment designated by Sanary, such as the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Japan Region (ap-northeast-1).
Local First applications: Some applications manage data primarily on your device or in a storage location that you control.
Some applications may let you optionally turn on Apple’s iCloud sync to sync data through your own iCloud. This is not storing or sending data on servers operated by Sanary. See each application’s policy for details.
Sanary Build: Sanary does not collect or store your projects or source code on Sanary servers. When you use an AI feature, however, information necessary to perform the requested task may be processed by an external AI processing service. See the AI Usage Policy.
When an application communicates over the internet, Sanary applies encryption and other protections appropriate to the application and platform.
Although Sanary applies reasonable safeguards, no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Disclosure to Third Parties
Sanary does not disclose personal information to third parties except:
- with your consent;
- in response to a disclosure request required by law; or
- where necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property.
To the extent necessary to provide the Services, Sanary may engage service providers to process data for cloud storage, authentication, AI processing, payments, crash analytics, and similar functions. Sanary requires those providers to handle data appropriately under applicable contracts and service terms.
In Sanary Point 2.0, your point balance and History are managed primarily on your device and shared by supported Sanary apps on that device. Data transfers for that purpose are not disclosures to a third party under this section.
Data Processing by AI Services
Certain features may process data necessary to provide the feature through Apple Private Cloud Compute (PCC), Anthropic Claude provided through Amazon Bedrock, or another AI service. The categories of data processed, retention, and use for model training differ by service. See the AI Usage Policy.
Analytics Tools
Sanary may use SDKs and analytics tools, including Sentry and Google Analytics, for crash analysis, performance improvement, and usage analytics. Google Analytics may be used to understand visits to landing pages, referral sources, store visits, demo interactions, and similar activity.
Sanary designs and operates these analytics integrations so that information sent to them does not include user-created or user-managed content such as record text, projects, or source code.
Data After Account Deletion
See the Data Deletion Policy for how data is handled after account deletion.
