SANARY BUILD SUPPORT
Get unstuck.
Keep building.
Official help for Sanary Build (App Store name: SB - Parallel IDE), including core workflows, common questions, and purchase support.
Getting started
What is Sanary Build?
Sanary Build is a Parallel IDE for macOS. It lets you arrange multiple projects and independently delegate work to an AI agent in each. The app focuses on investigation, editing, and review, while asking you for decisions when needed.
System requirements and PCC Available
Autonomous development features require a compatible Mac, an internet connection, an environment where Apple Private Cloud Compute (PCC) is available, and an active subscription. Confirm that the app reports PCC Available. If PCC is unavailable, try again after it becomes available.
Open a project
- Launch Sanary Build.
- Choose the option to open a project and select the folder you want to work with.
- If macOS asks for access, review the request before allowing it.
The agent investigates and edits within the Project / Workspace you open. Do not include credentials, third-party confidential information, or other data that is unnecessary for the requested task.
Core workflows
Project / Workspace
A Project is an independent unit of parallel work in Sanary Build. Each project has its own workspace and AI session.
Ask the AI to do work
Use plain language to explain the goal, the target, and any constraints. Naming the relevant files or the intended scope makes your request easier to follow.
Parallel Work
Switch between tabs and projects to run independent AI tasks in parallel. Watch each status and move to a project when it requests your judgment.
View files and diffs
Open workspace files from FILES. After a change, open the diff to inspect additions, deletions, and edits before continuing.
Checkpoint / rollback
A checkpoint preserves a state from before a change. To undo work, choose rollback, confirm the checkpoint and affected scope, then proceed. Review any unsaved work first.
Open in Xcode
Open the project in Xcode whenever verification requires a build, test, simulator, or other execution environment.
Human in the Loop
When the agent needs your judgment, it pauses and asks a question. Review the options, scope, or implementation choice and provide an answer. The agent resumes the task using your response.
When requirements are ambiguous, or a decision affects permissions or safety, the agent waits for you. If the question does not reflect your intent, add constraints before asking it to continue.
Build / Test
“There is no Build button.”
This is expected. In Sanary Build 1.0 from the Mac App Store, verification that requires a Build or Test environment is performed in Xcode. Sanary Build is responsible for investigation, editing, and review.
“There is no Terminal.”
Version 1.0 from the Mac App Store does not provide a general-purpose Terminal, including shell-command and Git CLI execution.
How do I open the project in Xcode?
Choose the Open in Xcode action for the project. Perform builds, tests, and simulator or device verification in Xcode.
